Alec Roberston, the local council leader was said to be so much delighted to be involved in the opening of the facility yesterday, July 15, 2009.
"This development marks another important stage in our plans to create a world class airport in Cornwall and I am sure that the new lounge will be well used," he added.

The lounge was said to be a significant improvement to the airport’s business facilities having a more relaxed atmosphere and comfortable seating that can accommodate for up to 24 passengers.

Aside from having a world- class service, it also has a broadband access for computer fanatics, a viewing area and hot and cold snacks.

“The facility was a gateway to Cornwall and is important to the economic generation agenda.” Said Carleen Kelemen, director of the Convergence Partnership Office for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

This project was said to be a follow up for the £50 million redevelopment of Terminal One of the Manchester Airport that was formally launched earlier this month.
