Guide to Newquay and Cornwall

Newquay Zoo

The zoo has always been a fun place not only for kids but for adults as well. Maybe there is something with animals that makes people happy. It may be because there is this inner want to care for them or this fear against animals they want to overcome. But whatever their reasons may be. The zoo will always be one of the most popular tourist destinations.

Newquay has its own dose of wildlife in its popular Newquay Zoo. It houses lots of animals from the African Lion to the Chapman’s Zebra. If you are on Newquay with your family, then the zoo may interest you and your kids.

How is the place

There are lots to do in Newquay Zoo. Aside from looking at the animals, there are also some picnic grounds where you and your family can rest. If the kids have more energy, they can play at the Dragon Maze and Tarzan’s Trail playground. At 1:45 each day is feeding time. You can help the zookeepers to feed the animals at that time. The best time to visit is in the summer where the zoo hosts various events such facepainting and other activities that your children will surely love.

Newquay Zoo is just a 10-minute walk from the heart of the town. You can see the exact location on the map. But if you are traveling by car, turn at Indian Queens at A30 and go through A3075 to Newquay. Once you reach Newquay, find the friendly brown signs. It will take you right into the zoo.
